email - LivejournalSerafina is a 20-something obsessive fangirl with too much time on her hands and way too many words in her head. She's been reading fanfic since her sophomore year of college when she got a job working at the school library. Basically, she sat in front of a computer for 4 hours a night with nothing to do. Although she started out by reading het fic, her Women in Literature teacher soon showed her the light by mentioning the Sith Academy in class one day during a discussion on Mary Wollstoncraft.Sera had to write her teacher a poem explaining why her reading wasn't done for the next class meeting. Her teacher understood. Although she originally insisted that she would never write slash, about a week after tearing through the Sith Academy, Sera had a slash fic of her own in her hot little hands. The rest, as they say, was history. Serafina began writing in the Angel fandom as an Angel/Wesley shipper. Then, somehow, that morphed into Wesley/Lindsey, and she was quite happily writing Wes/Lin fic when along came a little show called "Smallville." Serafina was a smart girl. She was not going to watch this show because she knew she didn't need another fandom. She was quite happy with Buffy and Angel, thank you very much. But then, everyone kept saying how slashy it was, and the bald guy really was beautiful, and Sera was intrigued by the commercial she'd seen in the movie theater with a crucified Superboy-guy, so she decided to watch an episode. The second episode, as a matter of fact. And, boy, it was very slashy and although Sera liked the show and thought the boys were very pretty, she was not going to write in the fandom. And the moral of the story is, Sera should never say she isn't going to write something. Or, maybe it's Serafina is a big fat liar. I'm really not sure. You'll have to decide for yourself. |
